USW MEDIA INTERNS

Gabi Page

What I study: BA Journalism

What I did: I post-produced two videos about gifs and bugs and attended some of Fictioneers’ Operations meetings.

What I learnt: Patience pays off. I extended myself editing and polishing these videos in Adobe Premiere.

Gina Parkinson

What I study: Performance and Media

What I did: I attended some of Fictioneers’ Operations meetings. Plus, I co-scripted and presented a mix of photos, as well as video content (welcome video, 360 video, gifs video).

What I learnt: Patience and collaboration. It took me 80 takes to nail the gifs video, but I’m pleased with the results!

Harry Pettigrew

What I study: BA Journalism

What I did: I co-scripted and presented a mix of photos, as well as video content (welcome video, 360 video, bugs video). After the game was launched publicly I also assisted Fictioneer’s Operations team, monitoring social media outlets for user generated content.

What I learnt: Dramatic delivery for performance, thanks to some extra coaching from performance students Gina and Beth.

Bethany Randell

What I study: Performance and Media

What I did: I co-devised and presented photo and video content for the Audience of the Future behind the scenes documentation site (welcome video, 360 video, audience research video).

What I learnt: Through the internship I learnt team-work skills, work ethic skills and directing skills
